The Nursing Program application is for the individuals interested in the Generic, LVN to RN (Advanced Standing) and 30-unit option of the program.

The application process is an online process completed by the applicant. Applicants will not need to see a counselor to initiate the application process.

Application Period

The El Camino College Nursing Program accepts applications twice a year beginning the third week of the fall and spring semester during a three-week period.

Spring 2025 Application Period:

September 9th-27th, 2024 at 11:59pm.

Verification of Eligibility:

Before you can complete the nursing application, you must first get verified that you are eligible to apply for the nursing program. Only eligible applicants can apply. You must complete and submit the Online Verification Form by September 26th, 2024 at 11:59am.

You must fill out all pertinent information and upload required documentation in PDF format for the verification of eligibility to be conducted.

Part 2: Application

Nursing Program Application

If it is determined that you are eligible to apply for admission consideration to the nursing program, you will receive an email with the link complete the nursing application.

All completed applications must be submitted by 11:59pm on Friday, September 27th, 2024. No exceptions!

Applications submitted after 11:59 pm on September 27th, 2024 will not be accepted.

Items You Need

  1. Photo Identification card: California Driver’s License (CDL) or State issued ID card,or
  2. El Camino College (ECC) Student ID card (if you have one)
  3. Official transcripts from all colleges and universities outside of El Camino must be sent to the ECC Admissions & Records office. For s pring applicants these must be on file by Sept. 10 and for fall applicants by Feb. 10
  4. Supporting documentation for additional points (all attachments must be in PDF format) – review the multicriteria screening process for requirements. Some examples are included below.

You must have all prerequisites completed prior to applying to the program.

Understanding the Application Process

Prerequisite Classes in Progress

If you have any prerequisite classes in progress, you are not eligible to start the application.

After You Submit the Online Verification Form

Once the Online Verification Form is submitted, the counselors will review your transcripts and coursework to determine your eligibility for the nursing program.

If determined eligible, you will receive an email with a link to the nursing application that must be completed and submitted prior to September 26th, 2024 at 11:59am.

If it is determined that you are not eligible you will receive an email stating that you are not eligible at this time and comments as to why you are not eligible.

Completed Applications

Completed applications will be reviewed by the Nursing Department and eligible applicants will be notified in 6-8 weeks regarding the status of your application. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.

Selected applicants will be invited to take the ATI TEAS exam as the next step in the process. So, if you have not taken the ATI TEAS exam you should be preparing for the test NOW.

ATI TEAS Exam Information

Applicants that indicate on their application that they have already taken and
successfully passed the ATI TEAS exam with the minimum passing score of 62% will be notified by email of the next step.

Please DO NOT attach ATI scores to the application or send ATI scores to the nursing department until you have been requested to do so.
